Ankeny Memorial Gardens and Memorial Services of Iowa are locally owned.  We have the distinction of being the ONLY locally owned funeral establishment in Ankeny.  Being the owners gives us the flexibility to adapt the services we offer to each family we serve.

Ankeny Memorial Gardens cemetery was established in 1967.  Each year, hundreds of people from the community join us for our annual Memorial Day Celebration to honor Veterans.  The ceremony is located at the Walk of Honor located on the northwest side of the cemetery. 

Memorial Services of Iowa was established in 2001 and offers funeral and cremation services.  Memorial Services of Iowa and Ankeny Memorial Gardens are both located at 4208 North Ankeny Blvd in Ankeny.  The funeral and cremation services operate indepently of the cemetery. 

If a family has a family plot in another part of the state, they may have their funeral at Memorial Services of Iowa and then burial at that particular cemetery. 

In 2010, we completed construction on our New Funeral Home located at 4208 North Ankeny Blvd and is situated in front of Ankeny Memorial Gardens.  This new 8,000 square foot modern facility was featured in the Des Moines Register.  The amenities of the building are truly spectacular.  Especially during a difficult time, like the loss of a loved one, we want to provide a place where family and friends can gather to pay their respects, and most of all, be as comfortable as possible.
